Mukul Devichand is Executive Editor, Voice and AI, at the BBC. He started as a BBC radio and TV documentary maker, reporting from all over the world, and then became an editor at BBC World Service Radio, where he created and ran digital journalism teams such as the BBC Trending unit and BBC World Hacks, the broadcaster's first dedicated solutions-focused journalism unit. His job now is to lead the BBC's entry into Voice Assistant technology, working across content areas from children's to news, figuring out what should happen when audiences decide to speak back.
