CEO Groupe Les Echos–Le Parisien

Pierre Louette is the CEO of Groupe Les Echos-Le Parisien, the media branch of the LVMH Group. Les Echos is the leading business news media in France, while Le Parisien is first for generalist daily news.

Between 2010 and 2018, he was deputy CEO of the global telecoms group, Orange. He also contributed to developing an active presence for the company in the digital world by establishing Orange Digital Ventures, a corporate investment fund. From 2003 to 2010, Pierre Louette was general manager at AFP, one of the world’s top news agencies, before being appointed CEO. He led the company’s financial recovery by making the transition to digital, implementing cost efficiencies and developing video production. As early as 1996 he had created ConnectWorld – a unit of Havas Advertising - one of the first digital agencies in France. He started his career as a civil servant - he is a graduate of the national school of administration (ENA) - at the Prime Minister's office in charge of Information Highways.

He sits on the board of Rocket Internet, a start-up factory listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, and is a trustee of the French National Museums Office.
