Priya Ramani

Mint

Priya Ramani has been a journalist for more than 20 years. Her varied career has included stints as equities reporter for Reuters, editor of Cosmopolitan (where she was charged with giving the magazine a sexy new identity) and nearly a decade as one of the founding editors of Mint newspaper. She also tried her hand at Juggernaut, a digital first publishing startup Juggernaut. Earlier this year she called out her first editor as part of the #MeToo movement in India and, for the first time in her career, saw herself on the other side of the news. These days she writes a column for Mint from Bangalore.

For further information on Priya’s being on the other side of the news, please see her 12 October 2017 article in Vogue India entitled To the Harvey Weinsteins of the world and the 15 October 2018 article in India Today entitled Ready to fight: Priya Ramani to MJ Akbar after minister sues her over #MeToo.
