Tiziana Ferrario is a journalist of RAI 1 News. She has frequently reported first hand from crisis situations worldwide, notably Afghanistan, Iraq, the Middle East, South East Asia and Africa. She recounts her experiences in Afghanistan in her bestselling book Il Vento di Kabul (2006). Winner of many awards, including the 2002 Carlo Casalegno national journalism award, the 2004 Ilaria Alpi award for her report on the war in northern Uganda and the 2005 Antonio Russo award for war reporting, she was also awarded the prestigious title of Cavaliere dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica in 2003 by then Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi for services to journalism. Her latest book is Orgoglio e Pregiudizi, Il risveglio delle donne ai tempo di Trump (2017).
