Diane Kemp is Professor of Broadcast Journalism at Birmingham City University in the UK. She is also deputy Chair of the Broadcast Journalism Training Council which is a partnership between broadcast employers: BBC, ITN, SKY etc and educational institutions which sets training standards on over 60 courses.
Before becoming an academic, Diane worked for many years in radio and television as a broadcaster, journalist and producer. She has been a consultant for the Council of Europe on a number of their projects around inclusion and diversity and is currently coordinating the Diversity Accelerator. This project is looking at supporting sustainable and inclusive media start-ups working with different business models.
