Adriano Farano is Head of Content at Plex, a personal media service that is among the top ten most used apps on Roku and other streaming devices. In 2016, Plex acquired Watchup, the first streaming service designed entirely for news watching that Adriano founded in 2012. Prior to Watchup, Adriano was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Stanford startup accelerator StartX and a 2011 Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford, where he researched innovative ways to augment the news experience on mobile and tablet. He started his career as a journalist, writing for Le Figaro and other outlets in Paris before cofounding CafeBabel.com, a pan-European online magazine. Adriano lives in Menlo Park, California.
