Agostino Miozzo
Agostino Miozzo has a degree in medicine and surgery. He started his career as doctor in 1982 first in Zimbabwe and then in Ethiopia. He was coordinator of emergency programmes at the Directorate-General for International cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign affairs and international cooperation. He has been managing director of Crisis management at the European Commission for four years. He is currently Director-General at the Italian Civil Protection Authority. He teaches Crisis management at prestigious national and international universities, including the universities of Pavia, LUISS Guido Carli, Boston and Bethlehem.
