Antonio Navarra

Antonio Navarra is president of the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change. A physics graduate from the University of Bologna, he gained a Ph.D from the University of Princeton in the field of Geophysical Fluid Dynamics. He is currently research director at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia with a focus on numeric models for the simulation of climate change.

He is an Affiliate Scientist of the National Center for Atmospheric Research in the USA and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Asia-Pacific Climate Center in South Korea. He has published over 90 papers in international academic journals as well as a variety of books as author or editor. He also contributes articles of general scientific interest to the mainstream media.
