Tim Verheyden

Tim Verheyden is Chief of Storytelling at the Belgian public service broadcaster VRT News, for which he also anchors the current affairs magazine programme Panorama.

He previously worked for vtm as an international reporter,
 covering stories from Chernobyl, Haiti, Pakistan, Norway, and the Arab spring in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya.
 He was also based in New York City as a correspondent
 where he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study 
at the City University of New York,
 taking classes in Entrepreneurial Journalism (with Jeff Jarvis) and Video Storytelling (with Bob Sacha).

He runs workshops on storytelling and is the co-author of HowToStory on storytelling in visual journalism.
