SAFE regional manager MENA IREX
Aya Mhanna, is IREX’s SAFE Regional Manager for the Middle East and North Africa region, first joining IREX in 2014. Prior to her work with IREX’s SAFE Initiative, she ran a private practice and worked with several NGOs and companies on topics such as trauma and burn-out, drug addiction, child protection, SGBV, and others. In 2012, she began working with media workers and human rights defenders in the MENA region through her consultancy work for several organizations. Aya holds masters’ degrees in Clinical Psychology and in Psychopathology.
