Charles-Henry Groult

Charles-Henry Groult is the head of video at Le Monde, where he manages a team of fifteen journalists and motion-designers. He led the launch of new video programs for Le Monde’s website, YouTube and Facebook Watch. His team develops creative video programs focused on sensitive topics and audience engagement, like visual investigations on police violence, fact check explainers or Plan B, a carbon-offset video series on inspiring ecological and social initiatives.

Previously he was the co-founder and director of Le Quatre Heures, an award-winning long-form magazine, and developed interactive news stories for ARTE, Radio France and France Télévisions. He is also the co-founder of an open-source local film library. Charles-Henry graduated from the Centre de Formation des Journalistes and holds a master’s degree in political history from Sciences Po Paris.
