Giampaolo Musumeci

Radio 24

Giampaolo Musumeci is presenter of Nessun luogo è lontano on Radio 24. A photographer and video reporter, he deals with immigration, international current affairs and conflicts, especially in Africa. He has worked in Somalia, interviewed IRA exponents in Ireland, followed rebel general Nkunda during the war in the Congo in 2008, joined Rwandan FDLR rebels in the Congolese forest in 2010, and recounted the Libyan crisis in 2011. He has contributed to Sky Tg24, Channel 4, Rainews24, Vanguardia, Die Zeit, Swiss Italian Radio and Radio France International. He has directed and filmed for MTV a series of documentaries on the young people of Belfast and one on the children of Hebron. He is the author of Confessioni di un trafficante di uomini (2014), published in six countries around the world. He teaches at the Catholic University School of Journalism in Milan and on the Masters course of Radio 24.
