Nicola Gratteri is Public Prosecutor in the Southern Italian town of Catanzaro. He has coordinated important investigations into the 'Ndrangheta organised crime group, including that on the Duisburg (Germany) massacre. He has lived under armed guard since 1989. With Antonio Nicaso he is the author of several books, the last of which are Fiumi d'oro.
