Raffaele Angius

freelance journalist

A freelance journalist for La Stampa and Agi Agenzia Italia, Raffaele Angius specializes in the use of IT tools for the protection of sources and telecommunications. In 2016 he designed and created RegeniLeaks for L'Espresso, a platform that collected information and documents concerning the murder of Italian researcher Giulio Regeni and the violations of human rights in Egypt. He was a speaker at Ijf17 to present the RegeniLeaks project and Ijf18 with a panel on the IT violations of the Rousseau platform. He is a member of the Hermes Center for Transparency and Digital Human Rights, with which he collaborates in the dissemination of tools for the protection of journalistic work and sources.
