Megha Mohan is the BBC World Service’s first gender & identity correspondent. There, she tells stories on subcultures, with a focus on women and minority communities across Asia, Africa, the US and Europe. Her original journalism includes the unsolved murders of young lesbians in Chile (which led to an arrest), military detention of Palestinian children in the West Bank and use of Deepfake technology as a harassment tool. She files for BBC global TV, radio and online.
